Guided tour with excursion to Casotto Castle on Sunday, June 11 and 18

Do you want to learn about the fascinating history of Casotto Castle through a brand new perspective? Immerse yourself in nature and walk through the centuries-old forests that surround this extraordinary Royal Residence, the hunting lodge of the Savoy family.

On Sunday, June 11 and Sunday, June 18, you can take part in an engaging guided tour and walk a short, easy route to Casotto Castle in the company of a nature guide. This is followed by a guided tour of the castle.

Departure of the first visit 10 a .m. – expected return 2:30 p.m., with packed lunch provided by participants at Casotto Castle

Departure of the second visit 3:30 p.m. – expected return 7 p.m.

Meet at the Locanda del Mulino, in the main square of the Borgo di Valcasotto, 15 minutes before the start of the tour.

The use of hiking boots is mandatory.

Duration of the hike: 1h one way / 40 min return (elevation gain 130 meters, distance 2.3 km one way, difficulty T – Tourist according to CAI scale)

Duration of the guided tour of Casotto Castle: 1h15min

For first visit only: possibility to reserve “gourmet” picnic basket for 12 euros (*) as an alternative to packed lunch (first visit) prepared by the Mill Inn.

(*) “Gourmet” picnic: 2 sandwiches, 2 cheeses, 2 cold cuts, 1 slice of omelet, 1 village tart, 1 small bottle of water. Complimentary coffee upon return to those who return their picnic basket waste to the Mill Inn to allow it to be properly disposed of.

Cost of the tour: 16 euros per participant – payment upon confirmation of booking

+ possible “gourmet” picnic basket (payment on site)

For Abbonamento Torino Musei, Torino+Piemonte Card, Royal Pass holders: 8 euros (entrance and visit to the Castle are free) – payment upon confirmation of reservation

The excursion is conducted with a minimum of 4 participants and a maximum of 15. Reservations by 6 p.m. on the Friday before the visit. The hike is done even in light rain (equip yourself with an umbrella or waterproof cape).
