Wonder of the fourteenth century in Padua
Discover the Baptistery of Padua Cathedral through a new tour proposal. The pictorial decoration housed inside, commissioned from the painter Giusto de’ Menabuoi by Fina Buzzaccarini, wife of Francesco il Vecchio da Carrara, lord of Padua, represents one of the highest manifestations of 14th-century Italian art. A narrator’s voice will guide you inside this extraordinary place of faith and art and allow you to immerse yourself in the magnificence of its frescoes that tell the Story of Salvation, from the book of Genesis to the book of Revelation to the Paradise that dominates the dome. The monumental complex of buildings in Piazza Duomo, which also includes the Cathedral and the Bishop’s Palace, is a testament to the history and thousand-year tradition of Christianity in Padua. Inside the Palace is home to the Diocesan Museum, with its majestic Hall of Bishops, which can also be visited through an unprecedented guided tour.

The reduced ticket is reserved for visitors up to 25 years of age, holders of a Touring Club Italiano membership card, and holders of a MUSME ticket (Museum of the History of Medicine in Padua).
The free ticket is reserved for children aged 0 to 6, people with disabilities and one accompanying person, members of religious orders and priests, licensed tour guides and tour leaders (upon presentation of their license at the ticket office), accredited journalists (by prior request via e-mail at least 24 hours in advance to booking@kalata.it), students of the Department of Cultural Heritage at the University of Padua (upon presentation of a student ID), ICOM card holders.
The family ticket – adult is available to at least one adult accompanied by a child under 18 (to be purchased together with a family ticket – under 18).
