Novara

Dome of San Gaudentius

The very high dome that skims the sky of Novara

Live an exciting experience discovering the dome of San Gaudenzio, a symbol of Novara and an unmistakable element of its skyline, clearly visible as it is from every point in and around the city.
Built over the course of forty years, the dome represents the ultimate expression of Alessandro Antonelli’s genius and one of the most daring masonry buildings in the world, on par with Turin’s Mole. Through walkways hitherto excluded from traditional sightseeing circuits, you can retrace, with helmet and harness, the history of this extraordinary masterpiece of 19th-century architecture and enjoy exclusive viewpoints inside the building.
From the great colonnades that embrace the building and from the spire set 100 meters high, you can admire a splendid view of the city and run your gaze from the Alpine arc to the skyscrapers of Milan.
