Significant sums were spent on the execution of this masterpiece, a fresco embellished with large amounts of gold, lapis lazuli and silver, chosen and purchased directly by the artist. The painting, executed at the 15th-century Chapel of St. George or Palatine Chapel of the Broletto, was lost in the course of the palace’s architectural remodeling, fueling fantasies and legends over the centuries. In 1985, during a restoration site, fragments of the sky, views of cities with Gothic towers, fortified villages, and green hills resurfaced as evidence of the work done in Brescia by Gentile da Fabriano.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":5180,"template":"","class_list":["post-5449","revelia","type-revelia","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/kalata.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/revelia\/5449","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/kalata.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/revelia"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/kalata.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/revelia"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/kalata.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/5180"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/kalata.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=5449"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
